White Water Rafting in Bighorn Sheep Canyon

Come enjoy the Arkansa River’s Class II-III rapids, suitable for first-timers and experienced rafters, on this fun rafting trip! You start off in the pleasant valley area and end up in the Big Horn Sheep Canyon back at our base. The views along the way are unparalleled. Sightings of bighorn sheep are very common in this section, so keep your eyes peeled!

This trip launches beneath the dramatic Cotopaxi cliffs at our convenient riverside base. We then shuttle you up 7.5 miles to the Vallie Bridge put-in. We begin the trip in easy water to give us time to form a competent paddle crew (or passengers in an oar boat).

This run is a gradual upgrade that gives you enough time to get used to being in the boat and on the water, starting in the valley and ending up right back where we started below the big cliffs of the Bighorn Sheep Canyon. All kinds of wildlife can be seen on this trip. Come explore the Arkansas River!
